Most Teen Workers Are Missing Out on Thousands

profile

I help everyday people regain control of their money and use their income with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Most people feel financially stretched and out of control—blaming external factors like the economy or their income. But lasting financial change comes from mastering what’s already within your control. I specialise in teaching practical money skills that help everyday people gain clarity, confidence, and control over their finances — so you can make intentional decisions, reduce stress, and create long-term stability and independence.

The Hidden Money Opportunity Most Teen Workers Are Missing

If you’re a parent of a 16 or 17-year-old with a part-time job… or you know a teen earning money after school or on weekends… there’s a major financial opportunity that most Kiwi families still don’t know about.

And thanks to the April 2026 KiwiSaver changes, this is no longer “something to think about later.”

It matters right now.

Because for many young workers, this change effectively works like an instant pay rise — but only if they’re set up correctly.

Here’s What Changed

As of April 1st, 2026, eligible 16 and 17-year-olds in KiwiSaver can now receive:

  • Employer contributions
  • Government contributions
  • Long-term compound growth from an early age

Which means a teenager working a casual or part-time job could now be building serious financial momentum years earlier than previous generations.

Most families have no idea this has changed.

And unfortunately, many teens are still missing out simply because nobody has shown them how to set things up properly.

Why This Matters More Than People Realise

This isn’t really about retirement.

It’s about:

  • first-home deposits
  • future financial freedom
  • learning money habits early
  • avoiding expensive mistakes
  • and creating a head start most people wish they had at 16.

A small contribution today could snowball into a completely different financial future over time.

That’s why I created:

The Teen Wealth Launchpad

The 2026 “Free Money Hack” for 16 & 17-Year-Olds with a Part-Time Job

Inside the free guide, I break down:

  • What changed with KiwiSaver in 2026
  • How the employer matching system works
  • Why some teens are unknowingly missing out
  • How to activate the opportunity correctly
  • The simple steps to get started

It’s written in plain English so both teens and parents can understand it easily.

A Quick Note for Parents

One of the biggest financial advantages you can give your child isn’t money itself — it’s helping them start early with the right financial systems and education.

These new KiwiSaver changes have created a genuine opportunity for young workers, but only if families understand how to use them properly.

I’m passionate about helping Kiwi families build stronger financial futures through practical, easy-to-understand financial education — without the overwhelm or jargon.

If this guide helps someone you know, feel free to forward this email to them.
