If you’re starting from scratch...

profile

I help everyday people regain control of their money and use their income with confidence, clarity, and purpose.

Most people feel financially stretched and out of control—blaming external factors like the economy or their income. But lasting financial change comes from mastering what’s already within your control. I specialise in teaching practical money skills that help everyday people gain clarity, confidence, and control over their finances — so you can make intentional decisions, reduce stress, and create long-term stability and independence.

If someone asked me:

“How do you actually become wealthy… starting from nothing?”

My answer might surprise you — because it’s not complicated.

It’s not about picking the perfect stock. It’s not about earning a huge income overnight.

It’s about doing a few simple things… consistently.

Here’s where I’d start 👇

1. Increase your KiwiSaver contributions (slowly) Start where you are… and as your income increases, aim to gradually move towards 10%.

Why this works so well is simple: You’re already used to living without that money.

So each increase? You barely feel it — but over time, it builds something powerful.

2. Find your “money leaks” This is one of the biggest hidden opportunities.

Go through your bank transactions and ask yourself: 👉 What am I paying for that I don’t actually value?

It might be:

  • Subscriptions you forgot about
  • Small, frequent purchases that add up

Now here’s the shift…

Instead of letting that money disappear — redirect it into something that grows.

Even small amounts can make a big difference when invested consistently. Platforms like Sharesies make this really accessible, and something as simple as an index fund (like the S&P 500) can allow your money to compound over time.

3. Focus on clearing debt (starting with the highest interest) Debt is one of the biggest things holding people back from getting ahead.

Start with the highest interest rate first.

And here’s something practical: Look around your home — are there items you no longer need?

Sell them. Take that money and put it straight onto your debt.

Then keep going.

As each loan is cleared, roll those repayments into the next one… until eventually, you’re only left with your home loan.

This is how momentum builds.

None of this is about deprivation.

It’s about being intentional with your money — and giving yourself a real chance to move forward.

If this resonates with you, or you’re not sure where to start…

Just reply to this email.

I read every message, and I’m always happy to help guide you in the right direction.

You don’t need to have it all figured out — you just need to start.

Warm regards,
